Future Islands have confirmed they'll be releasing a new album this April, which is good news for anyone that likes good news.

The follow-up to 2014's Singles is called The Far Field, and is set for release on April 7th via 4AD. Along with the announcement, the band have shared the album's first single, 'Ran', which you can stream below.

The album was recorded at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles with legendary producer John Congleton, so expect something lush and powerful and all the things you've come to expect from the band that brought you your favourite dance meme all those years ago.
