It's been a long partnership for the hip-hop duo G-Side, spanning over a decade and five full length albums. but according to reports coming from SPIN and ST 2 Lettaz, one half of G-Side, they are unfortunately calling it a career. Speaking with SPIN, ST 2 Lettaz spoke about the reasons behind the group's dissolution.

"It was time to go elsewhere creatively. We’ve been doing records since 2004. You just grow up and grow out and that’s kind of the case. I wish there was something juicy, but it’s like, there’s no big drama behind it, man. We needed a fresh start or a fresh look; it had gotten stale. Though we were still working, which is the great thing about it — that we were still working — the whole hype had died down."

Although that is certainly bad news for fans of the duo, the two will continue to release music as solo artists, with ST's R.E.B.E.L. EP being released later this year, and reports stating that the other side of G-Side, Yung Clova, will be releasing his first ever solo LP, tentatively titled G...Growth & Development. According to Clova, the album will be properly released in either December or January.
