What a time to be alive. For fans of Gang Starr - among the greatest hip hop duos to ever grace the scene - the group's demise was a bitter one. As rapper Guru passed away from cancer, he'd been long estranged from partner and producer DJ Premier. One always hoped for a proper ending to their legendary chapter.

Now, that wish seems to have been granted. Using posthumous vocals from his ally, Premier has crafted a properly new Gang Starr track: 'Family and Loyalty.'

While the choice of feature, J. Cole, nearly feels obligatory, nothing can dull such a grand moment. Cole seems to know it, too, declaring the song the last feature he'll ever do. (We'll see if that sticks, but hey).

If that wasn't enough, rumors are swirling about an entire LP, spurred largely in part by an excited message left by Nas for Premier. Could it be? Stay tuned!
