Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba comes experimental-pop act Royal Canoe. In October, the sextet released their latest single ‘Peep This’ and they are now showing off its accompanying music video. The track is shot through the canon of R&B tones with psychedelic-pop elements along for the glorious journey. Cut from the same colorful cloth as Glass Anmials and Alt-J, Royal Canoe experiment deeply here with stimulating sonic qualities allowing for them to achieve something rather exceptional in the realm of all things pop. ‘Peep This’ is bursting with bracing tones, but the surroundings are eclectic as the road it travels on is distinct and aesthetically alluring.

The music video for ‘Peep This’ was shot and edited by the band’s keyboardist Matthew Schellenberg, which he captured entirely on an iPhone 8. Filmed at the Roslyn Mansion, it features lead vocalist Matt Peters singing and dancing in different areas of the mansion. Simple yet refreshing, the visual clip and the song itself will want you want to dance throughout all areas of your home too. Speaking of the track, ‘Peep This’ is the second cut to be lifted off the group’s upcoming third LP, Waver. In August, the guys released their first single, the R&B-centric ‘RAYZ’. Both tracks highlight the band’s genre-blending approach with pristine productions, diverse cadences, and astute songwriting abilities.
