And now for some recent but timelessly classic music history; you'll have to imagine the kind of jingle that goes along with this. Something sharp and zappy, but also homely and old-timey. That's the gist Recent Classic News.

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Ghostface Killah lost a lawsuit over an issue of sampling (what's new), in which he took (or, according to the composer, "copied verbatim" on his 2000 album Supreme Clientele) the 'Iron Man Theme' from '60s cartoon The Marvel Super Heroes, reportedly. Big deal yo, he also had an album called Ironman but does lack of space and a capital M constitute a non-suability? Clearly so. He just loves Iron Man, doesn't he?

However, composer of the tune Jack Urbont – who sued back in 2011 – claims that there is "a substantial commercial advantage by linking Ghostface to Iron Man without paying for it." It's just a… thing. It's nothing. Com Truise. Nothing suable in that, but you know exactly what it's saying. Lindsay Lowend, same thing. There's a lot of this going around right now. Drop a letter and you miss a lawsuit. Shoulda just professed his love for Ron Man instead.

Anyway, Mr. Urbont has won. Because Ghostface Killah just like, disappeared. Didn't turn up. Even Ghostface's lawyer wanted out, his client refusing to communicate with him and not even paying him. He missed the deadline to get a new lawyer, didn't show at a deposition nor respond to multiple attempts to reschedule said deposition. Zip. Zilch. Nada. So basically, Urbont won by default.

Speaking about the lawsuit in 2012, Mr. Killah said, "This, this is the game, man. Everybody out for they bread, whatever they could see, they tryna get it." Everyone wants a slice of pie, especially if they provided an ingredient to the end result of the pie.

Speaking of which, let's watch a slice of deleted-scene pie: yes, Ghostface Killah was in Iron Man alongside Downey Jr., at least for a bit anyway. Below that you can listen to a better Iron Man Theme, from a Playstation/Sega Saturn game called Marvel Super Heroes.
