New Yorker Mike Gibney has come along from his days as a sound engineer and tour manager. With his own project, Gibbz, has begun to jostle for the spotlight. With his latest EP, Oh My God, he may just find it.

One of the EP's highlights is unquestionably 'Bright Lights,' an effervescent little synth jam with a throbbing beat that unleashes a cathartic chorus upon the listener.

"'Bright Lights' was the first track written for the record," says Gibney. "It’s about a night out with friends on whatever drugs you can find. The bright light is referring to how some substances can cause lights and colors to be more vibrant. The pacing of the track and its build of instrumentation are to show how there’s a delicate balance between taking just the right amount, and going too far."
