Here’s ‘Bully’, the latest single from Wellington, New Zealand-based Girlboss, the band project of singer-songwriter Lucy Botting.

Produced by fellow Wellingtonian Eddie Johnston (better known for his musical projects as Lontalius and Race Banyon), ‘Bully’ is a sentimental slice of melodic (and melancholic) bedsit indie rock minimalism. Fittingly in four minutes and forty-one seconds, Lucy’s yearning voice comes together with flickering sunkissed guitar figures, and a sturdy rhythm section, making for something beautiful and sad, but mostly beautiful.
