It has been a good week or so for those websites that ask the binary variable question 'has xyz happened yet'? And whilst the answer to Is The New Gold Panda Album Out Yet? is not quite a yes, we are now on a 'Not Yet' people.

For the (now) Berlin-based producer has unveiled details of the follow-up to gamechanging Lucky Shiner LP, some three years after this debut. 'Brazil' here is taken from Half Of Where You Live and influenced by a trip to Sao Paulo where Derwin experienced the dichotomous nature of economic conditions in Brazil, manifested in it's various prosperous areas adjacent to slums. The minimal, repetitive electronics tones of the track sound like a continuation of previous work though with a harder, more intense edge; anyways the result has left us salivating giddily at the thought of experiencing the album as a whole

The 11-track album is out on June 11 through Ghostly International and his very own, and very awesome NOTOWN label, with 'Brazil' available now via digital download. The Peckham-born one is also to embark on a US, Canadian and European tour that features a London headline show at The Electric, Brixton, the week of the LP release - that can be preordered now.
