Good night sweet prince. It's all I could think of when Apple silently announced the news that the iPod Classic was no longer going to be available to buy.

The click wheel has been replaced by a blank space; a blank space of emotion that could have continued to live on, but obviously not in this new era of Apple. On a personal note, I had the first ever iPod. It was clunky by today's standards, but it was primarily for the music lover - a selection of people that Apple shat on by giving away a free U2 album last night.

The future is bright for Apple, but if they start leaving their roots behind - remember there was no mention of computers yesterday - then maybe errors will be made.
