In 1987, John Candy and Steve Martin looked an odd couple when they travelled in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles across an obscured North America to get home for Thanksgiving. So, in 2012, Grimes, Diplo, and Skrillex are going to travel across Canada, on a train, to celebrate the summer on a tour dubbed 'The Full Flex Express'.

This July the trio will appear in cities across Canada and between each stop they’ll be on a private train together. Fort York, PNE Coliseum, and Parc Jean Drapeau are all amongst the planned dates. The idea is to commemorate the ‘higher-than-heaven’ 1970 Festival Express Tour which featured The Grateful Dead, The Band, and Janis Joplin.

Tour Dates:

  • Toronto, Ontario – Fort York – 13th July
  • Ottawa, Ontario – Ottawa Blues Fest – 14th July (without Grimes)
  • Montreal, Quebec – Parc Jean Drapeau – 15th July
  • Winnipeg, Manitoba – Shaw Park – 18th July
  • Edmonton, Alberta – Kinsmen Park – 20th July
  • Vancouver, British Colombia – PNE Coliseum – 22nd July

They will be travelling over 2500 miles on the tour.
