Attention music lovers - there's a brand new event coming your way this summer in the form of a one-day festival. Third Rail will see artists such as Polar Bear, Grumbling Fur, Black Channels and Boxed In take over Reading's Thames Prom on July 5th.

Featuring two stages, DJs, a Cinema Tent curated by the London Short Film Society, and even a '70s style Youth Club, Third Rail is just thirty minutes from the heart of London but is, at the same time, nestled on the banks of the River Thames and within easy walking distance of Reading town centre.

"Third Rail combines the variety of a festival, with the intimacy of a gig," explain event organisers Jo Bartlett and Danny Hagan. "We were in a band and we just wanted to support our favourite artists. When we couldn't get to play with them in London, we thought we might as well bring them to us. We just wanted to play a festival and after much thought we decided we might as well start our own."

You can take a look at the festival's trailer below. For further info on tickets (priced at £25) and line-up, head here.
