The Village Underground in Shoreditch will play host to two nights of acoustic performances at the end of this month hosted by the Guillemots, with artists such as Robyn Hitchcock, Mary Epworth, Thomas Feiner, Luke Wright, Oliver Coates and Joby Burgess’ ‘Grand Ole English Opry’ ajoining the London based band in a series of unplugged musical performances and spoken word. The Guillemots will perform a mixture of old and new material and front man Fyfe had this to say about the evenings:

"This is something we've wanted to do for ages", says Dangerfield, "and Village Underground's the perfect place to do it, the room just has an aura to it as soon as you walk in. I love the idea of gigs like this where there's nothing to hide behind. It's that bit more personal and dynamic for everyone."

The event is entitled Positive Blackout takes place over the consecutive nights of 30th and 31st March with tickets priced at £17.50 and attendees encouraged to "Bring a cushion." This sounds like a brilliant concept, head here for more details.
