This week’s headphone moment arrives courtesy of art-pop duo St. Jude The Obscure, and their tender new single ‘I’m The Wolves’. Adele Emmas and Christian Sandford create a yearning, wonderfully fragile landscape for the track, combining sound field recordings and whistling ambient noise beneath Emma's vocal. The whole thing evokes Bat For Lashes and Regina Spektor, and is brought to life in a minimalist, choreographed video that is halfway between statuary and dance.

The band explain: “’I’m The Wolves’ is a song about independence and freedom of spirit, the need to escape a somewhat chaotic world and to reconnect with the simplicity of nature. It celebrates how strength can be found in the vulnerability of choosing to walk your own path even though it might be a solitary one at times.”

The track will be available for download on Friday 1st June, and you can discover their music on Soundcloud and Facebook. The band play The Castle, Manchester on 12th June.
