Damon Albarn goes solo soon releasing his debut solo album Everyday Robots on April 28th via XL Recordings. But just because the Blur/Gorrilaz visionary is using his own name doesn't mean he's just going out there with his guitar, he's working with Richard Russell, and the glimpses of the album we've had so far display a lavish experimental sound. Albarn has tried the old model of solo artist on though showing up of Dermot O' Leary's Radio 2 show to record two intimate acoustic songs, one a stripped down version of Everyday Robots' 'Lonely Press Play', and the other a cover of Terry Jack's 1974 hit 'Seasons in the Sun'.
