Part 60s chamber-pop, part experimental electronic soundscapes, part kwes. That's the magic recipe for 'Cablecar', the latest track to be taken from his forthcoming Warp album ilp - and it sounds good.

A little bit everywhere, the track places heavily echoed vocals over billowing clouds of harpsichord melodies, deep, shadowy dubby bass and blast of bright, sweet harmonies.

Synaesthesic that he is, kwes. sees music in shapes and colours. Perhaps it makes sense then that this track, like so many of his, leaves much more of a visceral impact than your average electronic noodlings.

Wandering, dynamic and very special, have a listen to it below. ilp is out on October 15th.
