There's no telling where Future Islands could be now if they'd been allowed to perform of TV five years ago. Things really seemed to start to take off for the Baltimore-based synthpop band the second they walked onto the stage of David Letterman's Late Show for an impossible to ignore take of Singles track 'Seasons (Waiting on You)'. Somewhere among all the people moved by, and moving to Samuel T Herring's chest thumping performance was Slow Club, who liked it enough to record a cover.

Knowing few can match Herring's crazed mix of raw energy and emotion, the Sheffield duo go for full sentiment, and strip the song back to a sparse piano ballad fronted by Rebecca Taylor. Stream it below.
