Hen Ogledd are on course to release the last great record of 2018, Mogic, on November 16th; their entwining of medieval North England folk mythologies and the inherent mysticism of artificial intelligence and the digital age is pointed, truly original, and obliquely moving - and they don't compromise on the songwriting or production either.

The band's latest single 'Tiny Witch Hunter' consolidates their vaguely art pop-meets-folk aesthetic, with a trippy as hell video, but it's also complemented by an essay on the band's parsing of folk legends on futurist digital technologies by Dr. Fox Harrell, Professor of Digital Media & Artificial Intelligence at the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), which can be read here.

Mogic is out November 16th on Weird World Records.
