Petite Meller's 'Baby Love' is a bright upbeat house-flavoured morsel of pop shot with clanking piano and sing-along vocals. This remix, however, is decidedly downtempo. It's by London producer Alex Nagshineh and is essentially an extraction of the spirit of the original track placed in an atmospheric mechanical vessel, outwardly in the form of a cloud floating high above earth, a mobile observatory of unknown entities studying our species, flitting along with synths and electronics in various states of being, vocals from the original track like snippets of human voices analysed by the mysterious operators of the cloudlike craft. Nothing but otherworldly. We like.
