Only two short weeks before their first live gig ever (at this years Øyafestival in Oslo), indie-pop group Heyerdahl have released their debut single on the independent label Red Eye Transit. The group, who has taken their name from the great Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl, temporarily dropped everything in Oslo and rented a remote lighthouse by the coast and built a stuido there. While living and recording close to storms and the ocean, they found inspiration to make their music. No wonder that the lyrics are filled with stories about loneliness, shipwrecks, heavy weather and love. 'Mirage' is a brilliant and strong debut single, dominated by stormy drumming and a unique vocal.
