Hippo Campus, as well as having a 9.7/10 band name, deal in silky smooth, understatedly crafted indie pop, with their first album, last year's landmark, overloading itself with lo-fi wistfulness.

Their second album Bambi is out September 28th on Transgressive records, and they've dropped the lead single (and title track) now. It's pretty damn pleasant, throaty vocals bopping to a squawking synth, lethargic guitar line, and easygoing percussion. They're explicitly confronting toxic masculinity, which will be interesting to see play out across a full album. One to watch for sure, check oout 'Bambi' below.
