Troubled music chain HMV who racked up a whopping debt of £347m at their time of administration, are to be sold by their administators within the next week.

After going into administration in January, there has been much speculation as to what the next steps will be for the HMV brand with multiple companies being linked with takeovers, primarily retail group Hilco who have taken £110.3 million of HMV's debts. More recently, UK supermarket chain the walmart-affiliated ASDA seem to be in prime position.

Whatever happens, it seems like it wont be too long until HMV's future is truly determined.
