Arcade Fire have enlisted the help of LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy for their new album.

In a conversation with Rolling Stone, Murphy explained that his role was to suggest different approaches or ways of fine-tuning the material. He revealed he had been unsure of what to expect when the band arrived to record at DFA Records' New York studio in March. Little information has been made public about the content of the follow-up to 2010's Suburbs but Murphy implied that there was much less pressure upon him as a producer due to the very high quality of the songs, and is "eager to see it come out." The record is estimated to be released before the end of this year.
