Regular readers will know that we fell for Iceland Airwaves in 2011, and fell hard.

So it is with a great delight and a goofy smile that we can bring you the first bit of news in relation to 2012's Iceland Airwaves. The Reykjavík-based festival, that hosts a broad range of artists at a multitude of venues and bars around the glorious city, has announced 10 acts today.

Django Django, Friends, Sykur and Samaris (who we caught our eye at the previous fest) are some of the acts unveiled.

The dates have also been altered this time around and thus will run a couple of weeks later, from October 31 - November 4th, so bring some extra Krona's to buy some layers out there.

International artists can apply via the website, where you'll also find all the acts anounced.
