Up-and-coming South London-based singer Jodie Abacus has shared a new song called 'Hot Kitchen'. It's a smooth number that effuses warm funk, cocktailing funk flavours with breezy electronic vibes. Speaking to The FADER, he explained that its lyrics were inspired by an encounter with a girl at a house party:

"She’d been looking at me all night and came up to me tipsy ..or a little more and called me ‘Coca-Cola’ before proceeding to invite me upstairs. As soon as I heard the music, my mind immediately went back to that place and pretty soon the chorus, Coca-Cola Hot Kitchen, began to jump out."

Jodie Abacus will be performing at Roundhouse Studios in London on Tuesday 19th January 2016.
