The numbers are in, and it looks like the 2014 edition of Record Store Day was a massive, massive success. The music analytics service BuzzAngle Music has just given out their first ever release of daily statistics to show just how much of an impact Record Store Day really had, and it's pretty crazy.

The data states that independent record stores saw an average sales growth of 645% on RSD this year in comparison to the previous Saturday, a jump that was reflected by the 1,855% rise in vinyl sales for the entire industry. To put those two numbers together, that's a total 2,042% increase at independent record stores compared to just one week before. BuzzAngle have also revealed the top 25 best selling albums and singles from this year, and you can view that full list below. Tame Impala's live EP took the top spot for albums, and Nirvana did so for singles.
