Interpol will be releasing their new album Marauder on August 24th, and ahead of that they have shared the new single 'Number 10'.

The track tells the sordid tale of an unconsummated office romance between a woman named Ella and an unnamed subordinate. The song coasts on a smooth and surfing bass line, which holds ground while the guitars dance and duel with each other, like the subjects of the story. As the urgency increases we hear more studio trickery, extra layers of instrumentation, and Paul Banks' delivery becomes more pressing as the unbearable burden of attraction becomes harder and harder to resist. This is Interpol sounding at once more fun and yet more fiery than they have in a while. Check it out below.

Interpol have worldwide tour dates on sale in support of Marauder, including a newly added second date at London's Royal Albert Hall, supported by Nilufer Yanya. Check the full dates here.
