Today's 'Introducing' band are a shot of pop, a pint of Krautrock and a cocktail of atmospheric sounds. Drinking music is fun. Plus these guys won't give you a headache. The band in question is Zoos Of Berlin. Hailing from Detroit, this four-piece are hard to pin down. On one hand you have this pummelling rhythm section and poppy swirls and on the other their obvious, most likely, love of Bowie rears it's head. That can mainly be attributed to the vocals though.

You can tell that they put a lot of work in on their songs. Every note seems meticulous and often or not you're confronted with pretty complex pieces of work but without any issue of missing the point. They're carefully constructed, with a keen eye on dynamics. Tracks like 'Century Rail' and 'Juan Matus' perfectly demonstrate that point.
Again though, reference points are hard to come by. The Bowie comparisons aren't as laboured as you would think but still not 100% spot on. It's confusing to say the least. Anyway, visit the band (click here!) and let us know what you think.
