Those lovely humans at Nordic cultural entity Ja Ja Ja have been enlightening us with the very best Scandinavian music for years now, via their monthly London-based nights.

In 2013 this expanded to Ja Ja Ja's inaugural festival, and this weekend sees the second incarnation of it. The full programme has now been unveiled; and we're delighted to announce that this includes the UK premiere of Tonlist - our documentary on the Icelandic music scene.

Tonlist will be shown at 2.30pm in the main hall of the Great Hall on Saturday, so do make sure to get there in time for then yes?

Prominent Icelandic musician's such as Ólafur Arnalds, Ásgeir, Snorri Helgason, Múm, and Ólöf Arnalds are present in the doc to perform unique live performances in stunning locations, and provide a greater insight into the ethos and character of Icelandic music. Also featured is a gorgeous soundtrack consisting purely of music from Icelanders. Head here for a full preview of the film.

This year the festival is a little different in that it takes place across two venues. Thursday 13th + Friday 14th will see live music in the home of Ja Ja Ja's monthly club night at The Lexington, with Saturday 15th an all-day affair at Queen Mary University’s Great Hall.

A whole smorgasbord (sorry) of cutting edge acts, film and food are present including Emilíana Torrini, When Saints Go Machine, Asbjørn, BJÖRK: BIOPHILIA LIVE, and Highasakite, to name but a few will be present.
