Ja Ja Ja - March Edition - Curated by Steve Lamacq @ The Lexington 18/03/10 London's Nordic music spectacular continues with three amazing bands selected by radio legend Steve Lamacq, who'll DJ after the show. First up are Katzenjammer from Norway, a dynamic group of female multi-instrumentalists. They play a dynamic brand of eclectic folk-influenced material epitomised by their underground hit “Play A Bar In Amsterdam”. Denmark’s Bodebrixen (pictured above) - aka Aske Bode and Andreas Brixen - create a unique brand of “happy indie-pop". Their famously euphoric live shows feature a touring band wielding a menagerie of instruments including banjo, synth and sax. Last but not least we have Icelandic pop talent Hafdis Huld, a former member of Gus Gus and now an emerging starlet in her own right. Her second solo album "Synchronised Swimmers" is set to be released internationally in 2010. DJ’ing on the night is curator and BBC presenter Steve Lamacq, who’ll be dropping his Nordic favourites downstairs from 10.15pm onwards. http://www.jajajanordic.com http://www.twitter.com/jajajanordic http://www.myspace.com/jajajanordic
