We've been keeping our eye on the blossoming of Jaakko Eino Kalevi's career since way back in 2013 when he released 'No End', so we're thrilled that he's finally releasing his debut self-titled album this summer on 15 June via Weird World. I can bond with Kalevi over his reasoning for choosing to go with a self-titled album rather than something else, as he said in a press release that "I played the 'self-titled' card this time because for many people this album will be their first encounter with my music. Also, I get my name misspelled so often that I think it's good to focus on that at this point" (I bet he has one hell of a hard time at Starbucks).

You can listen to the first single from the album, the gorgeous pop tune 'Double Talk', below. For his debut, he said "I wanted this album to be more like a whole rather than a collection of songs, and I'm happy that I was able to develop that Dreamzone feel," adding that "these songs are tied closely together and I worked on them at the same time." He's playing a slew of festivals around Europe this summer, and you can find those details as well as the tracklisting after 'Double Talk'.
