Tagged only as "Ganges", this song takes a sample from somewhere – I can't work it out, but maybe it's from this early A. R. Rahman (of 'Jai Ho' fame) song, 'Chinna Chinna Aasai' or maybe it's from 'Chinna Chinna Vanna Kuil', a song in Mouna Ragam a 1986 Tamil film.

I don't know. Maybe it's from neither. It's in Tamil, anyway. And aside from that, 'Chinna Chinna' by Jaaska is bristling with distorted synth bass and a slow popping beat that shakes and clops and thuds below the buzzing lows and pinging melodious highs of the track – a shot of positivity, twisting with acrobatic vocals and swaggering with a certain fuzzy brashness.

After the third or fourth play in just a couple of hours, I came to a simple conclusion: it's addictive, it's unique, it's fun.

If you liked this, there's a new as-yet-unnamed album from Jaaska coming soon on AMDISCS.
