Talking to Zane Lowe on Beats 1 last night, it seems that Lana Del Rey didn't know anything about the book that James Franco had been writing about her, Flip-Side: Real And Imaginary Conversations With Lana Del Rey, which is set for publication 15th March 2016.

"I guess I was surprised there was a book," she said. "I haven’t seen it. And I don’t think it’s gonna come out. It’s a cool idea – I think we definitely wanna be in on it and have time."

It's not the first time Franco has expressed his admiration for the singer; he's also written a poetic tribute to her called "Shades of Cool", published in V Magazine.

The cover of the book (below) features photos of Lana Del Rey and her sister Chuck Grant, as well as MoMA director Klaus Biesenbach and James Franco himself, at Fort Tilden beach, New York, in July 2014.
