Nearly three years after their iconic debut, Vancouver duo Japandroids have finally announced the release of their sophomore LP Celebration Rock.

The eight-track album will be released this June (no specific date announced as of yet) through Polyvinyl Records, the same company that produced their breakout 2009 album Post-Nothing.

On why there was such a delay between albums, Brian King noted in a Pitchfork interview that, “We're a pretty difficult band to record because we have some ground rules: no double-tracking guitars and no overdubs unless they're absolutely necessary.”

The album will also contain “Younger Us,” which was released previously as a single. Listen to the track below.
