Jason Lytle, better known as one-fifth of influential Californian band Grandaddy, succeeds once again in taking us to a happy place with 'Get Up and Go': A reassuring hug of a track from his upcoming solo album, Dept. of Disappearance, due to be released on October 16th via Anti Records. At a leisurely tempo, with sprightly keyboards lines and backed with the insistent mantra of: "everything's gonna be all right," 'Get Up and Go' is the perfect antidote to the mid-week blues and is a positive indication that the forthcoming release will satisfy fans of previous solo venture, Yours Truly, The Commuter, which was released back in 2009.

Have a listen and feel better, already.
