In 2004, Jay Z and Dame Dash, friends, business partners, and founders of Roc-A-Fella Records, split ways over the acquisition of Roc-A-Fella by Def Jam.

The process found Jay both controlling Roc-A-Fella and assuming the mantle of president at Def Jam and cutting Dash and Kareem Burke out of the company. In the years following, Dash has vented his hurt over the loss and struggled with both legal and financial problems.

All that has been changing recently. First came a video showing Dash praising Jay Z’s new joint, Magna Carta Holy Grail. This sparked interviews with Jay to veer into a line of questions about the pair possibly reconciling in the future.

And now, a photo surfaced on Dash's Instagram account last night capturing him and Jay hugging and shaking hands, proving that the two can occupy the same space, maintain physical contact, and could be on the way to burying the hatchet.
