Following Robin Thicke's dispute with Marvin Gaye's estate due to naughty sampling (and Thicke suing Gaye's family for them suing him), it's now Jay Z's turn to face charges of copyright infringement, after a record company accused the rapper of featuring an illegitimate sample of Eddie Bo's 1969 single 'Hook & Sling' on his 2009 single 'Run This Town'.

The claim comes from TufAmerica Inc, who have held the copyright to Bo's original since 1996 and accuse the rapper of sampling the song without their permission. They will now take the issue to court, their goal being to stop "further distribution and exploitation" of 'Hook & Sling'.
