Jealous of the Birds is the name used by Belfast songwriter Naomi Hamilton, who has already released and EP and an album with this project. This week she has announced that she will be releasing a new EP called The Moths Of What I Want Will Eat Me In My Sleep, coming out through Canvasback on July 13th.

Preceding the EP's release is the single 'Plastic Skeletons', a song full of seemingly disjointed and haunting images, tied together bu Hamilton's deeply rhythmic rock and stylish vocals. It was written after her first experience of SXSW, a draining and disorienting experience for anyone. She explains: “'Plastic Skeletons' was written once I got back from SXSW in 2016. That was my first trip to America and I brought a journal and wrote a bunch of stuff in it. When I got home, I went through it and wrote that song in full. It’s a collection of little words and images that I picked up.”
