The New York Times are reporting that Jimmy Fallon will be replacing Jay Leno as the host of the Tonight Show by the end of 2014. The show is also set to return to its roots with a move back to New York.

This will be the second time that Leno has been replaced as host. The first time, with Conan O'Brien taking the helm, resulted in arguments and bitterness with O'Brien leaving after just seven months in the role. Let's hope it works for out for Fallon.

You can watch Justin Timberlake perform as part of his week-long residency on Jimmy Fallon from last week, below.
