Here's a trailer for Jon Hopkins' forthcoming Asleep Versions EP. A night-time scene doused with gorgeous childlike innocence, it's taken from a comic called "The New Ghost" by illustrator Robert Hunter, and has been animated by Sean Weston.

It's a lonely and beautiful ontological animation with music from Mr Hopkins (obviously) – a tasty teaser of what's to come. The EP itself is actually gonna be dreamy re-interpretations of four tracks that appeared on his very nice album from last summer, Immunity. These are gonna be "asleep versions," you see, with extra vocal help on a couple of tracks from King Creosote and Raphaelle Standell (from Canadian band BRAIDS).

A limited edition double CD with Immunity on Disc 1 and Asleep Versions on Disc 2 will also be available from the day of release (you can pre-order it here), 10th November.
