Jonah is absolutely sumptuous. Under the shimmering surface however lurks a deeper, darker parable about the very human cost of progress.

Directed by Kibwe Tavares (whose first short, Robots of Brixton, was an online smash, won a special Jury prize at Sundance 2012 and is another very worthwhile watch) written by Jack Thorne and produced by Ivana MacKinnon Jonah is a distinctly British film, despite it's lush Zanzibarean setting.

Excitingly, Kibwe is currently developing his debut feature with Film4. Watch the below, then this space, big things to come out of this guy's mind.
