Sometimes the best ideas are the simplest ones, and that seems to be how Phantastic Ferniture came about. “I’d gone straight into folk music,” says their leader, Julia Jacklin, “so every experience I’d had on stage was playing sad music with a guitar in my hand. I thought, I would love to know what it’s like to make people feel good and dance.”

Now teamed up with Elizabeth Hughes and Ryan K Brennan, she'll get to experience that when Phantastic Ferniture release their self-titled debut album on July 27th through Transgressive.

Ahead of that they've released 'Fuckin 'n' Rollin', which does exactly what you'd expect. It's downright groovy rock song, with a carefree lead vocal from Jacklin, which only adds to the intoxicating breeziness of the track. By the time the windswept chorus takes over, you're there with them, coasting with little destination in mind - 'Fuckin 'n' Rollin' sounds just about the perfect plan.
