Julio Bashmore's album Knockin' Boots is out this Friday, 7th August. As an additional taster of the imminent release, he's shared a track taken from it called 'She Ain't. It kind of sounds like an attempt to ape the style of future funk producers (as do other tracks taken from the upcoming album), with its uptempo disco feel and bouncing bass; there are plenty of elements that add to this feel: the unrelenting kicks, the constant strings, the looping vocal sample ooo-ing and woah-ing. You should check out Keats Collective if you like this type of modernised throwback sound (i.e. future funk) because there are so, so many talented and prolific producers to choose from it's almost ridiculous.
