Kanye West's The Life Of Pablo and the lead up to the album has undoubtedly been the biggest thing in music this year. It's all anyone could talk about and since it's release, it's been hard to put down. But the album's popularity won't be reflected on the latest Billboard charts, because thanks to its Tidal exclusivity, The Life Of Pablo's streaming numbers were left unreported. (Not to mention the fact that it was pirated over 500,000 times.) Usually, purchases on Tidal would scan with the Nielsens chart, but because West removed the buy option and stated the album will "never be for sale," he missed out on that too.

"Billboard has been informed that Tidal is not currently reporting streams for tracks on Kanye’s album to Nielsen Music," said Silvio Pietroluongo, Billboard’s vice president of charts and data development. "Therefore streams from Tidal for this title will not contribute to Billboard’s chart rankings at this time."
