Here's something that's bound to pull at your heartstrings: taken from an MTV special documenting the making of Kanye West's Late Registration album, the clip shows West's mother Donda rapping with her son in a kitchen.

Dr. Donda West played an instrumental part in Kanye's career, with the rapper naming his creative industry after her (following her unexpected death in November 2007 from surgery complications), and referencing her in a number of his songs including a heartfelt message on 'Coldest Winter' from 808s and Heartbreaks' and 'Hey Mama' from Late Registration. More recently, 'Only One' was described by Kanye as a message to his daughter North West from his mother.

In related Yeezus news, Kanye has also settled a lawsuit against him by a photographer who sued him over an apparent scuffle in 2013, with the rapper agreeing to terms that include an apology to avoid a trial. He was originally charged with misdemeanors of criminal battery and attempted grand theft after allegedly attacking photographer Daniel Ramos at Los Angeles International Airport. The full terms of the settlement are unknown, but it involved an apology and and a slightly awkward looking photo of Ramos and West shaking hands.
