Kanye West is working on a new project with Bret Easton Ellis following his American Psycho-inspired video for his recent album, Yeezus.

The transgressive fiction author - who wrote American Psycho in 1991 - not only influenced the promo clip, but it was also written by him. He told MTV how the rapper had approached him out of the blue about the collaboration.

Ellis said: "I just got a text one day… It said, 'It's Kanye, do you have time to rap?' And then suddenly my phone rang and someone said, 'Kanye got your number and he wants you to write this promo for Yeezus… And so we went back and forth and he wanted it done, like, that day. So I wrote it very quickly and they shot it two or three days later."

He also revealed: "Kanye and I have been meeting about writing a script for him so that's a project that's kind of in the works."

In other Kanye-related news, according to HipHopWired.com, he and Kim Kardashian have spent nearly $1 million on four gold-plated tolilets for their elaborate $11 million mansion. The couple will also have a Swarovski-encrusted fridge freezer and special edition beds which retail for $174,000 each.
