Artist: Kap Bambino Label: WWILKO / ALT DELETE / BECAUSE Link: There certainly seems to be a trend of bands coming out at the moment that have one thing in mind and that's to party hard (thanks Andrew W.K). Bands all over the world are crawling out of the woodwork to make music that not only creates an atmosphere of sweaty people dancing but also an atomosphere of distorted destruction. The next band to try their luck at corrupting the musical world is Kap Bambino with their latest single 'Red Sign'.  For those of you not in the know, Kap Bambino are a two piece dirty grunge band from the depths of France. They've got quite a follwing in their native country as well as major endorsments by VICE magazine. After listening to 'Red Sign' a few times I came to the impression that they don't really embody the classic grunge sound that you might expect. Think of their sound as being a more updated form of the genre, which I pick as being the next big 'retro' genre that will come about. As far as the single goes it's a nice slab of electronic noise but it's not great. That's not to say it's bad, it just lacks impact. I'm pretty sure that it's just one of those songs you have to see live to truly appreciate. Rating: 6.5/10
