Kendrick Lamar ruled 2015 with the release of To Pimp A Butterfly and most people expected him to take a year or two to release another album, what with good kid, m.A.A.d city coming out three years before TPAB. Thankfully, that doesn't seem to be the case, with the release of untitled, unmastered.
Inklings of new material rose late Thursday night when NBA superstar Lebron James hinted towards unreleased material that hadn't seen the light of day on Twitter.
A week later, Kendrick's newest album showed up on iTunes and all other streaming platforms and it's quite the album, very similar to TPAB but its own entity, entirely. In simpler terms, shit just got real.
untitled unmastered. https://t.co/YlAszcK4e4— Kendrick Lamar (@kendricklamar) March 4, 2016
untitled, unmastered has 8 different tracks with no set track names and can be listened to now on Spotify, iTunes and all other streaming platforms. A physical release has not been alluded to, as of press time.
And yes, Kendrick still should've won Album of the Year at the Grammys. Yes, we're still mad.
