After the 2012 release of Kid Koala's fourth proper full-length, 12 Bit Blues, he's embarking upon an intense tour, jet-setting around the UK and a fair bit of central Europe. He'll of course be bringing his unique brand of comic-cum-ingenious dance-turntablism that's won him guest spots with Lovage, Gorillaz, and a cult fanbase across the globe. He's made his name championing the turntables as melodic instruments, and he'll be taking his glitchy, eccentric dance music to the stage on his semi-sequel to 2008s 'The Short Attention Span Theatre' tour with the new, snappily titled, '12 Bit Blues: The Vinyl Vaudeville Tour'.

We've been promised a cavalcade of bizarre and eclectic events including (but certainly not limited to): puppets, limbo contests, paper aeroplanes, enormous cardboard turntables and dancing robots. Also joining Kid Koala will be his good friends Adira Amram and the Experience, opening each night with hyperactive slabs of musical comedy. These won't be shows for those with a stiff upper lip, these are chances to let loose and have fun in the most ridiculous, and therefore, best way possible. Combining the '20s Vaudevillian style of performance with a very anachronistic style of music might seem like a wacky gamble, but given Kid Koala's energetic and comic-book-inspired cacophony, it will surely be a tour to remember. Bestival flashbacks, anyone?
