London boy Kojey Radical made good on his promise and delivered his long awaited 23 Winters EP on February 23. As previously announced and reported, 23 Winters is an honest, heartfelt and deeply personal account of the relationship between Kojey and his father, touching on themes of "religion, society, family, love, new-age revolution and African diaspora." His father narrates throughout the project, offering words of advice while music is provided by the likes of KZ The Producer, Lupus Cain, Fwdslxsh, Selvsse, Niels Kirk and New Machine. There's also appearances from Ray BLK and rising singer/songwriter Bobii Lewis.

It's a deeply emotive collection from Kojey, arriving at a time where the BRIT Awards have been criticized for their lack of diversity amongst their nominees and respective winners. It raises the question as to where someone like Kojey could and would fit into these nominations but I think that's a conversation for another day. For now, grab a drink and enjoy 23 Winters on SoundCloud.
