Kristin Hersh has announced a new album and book to be released in the fall.

Wyatt at the Coyote Palace is both a double CD and a hardcover book, and follows Hersh's 2010 Crooked (solo) and 2013 Purgatory/Paradise (with Throwing Muses). It's due out on October 28th (UK and Australia) and November 11th (US).

The title, as Hersh herself explains in a press release, is a literal reference to her autistic son Wyatt, who had a "fascination with an abandoned apartment building inhabited by coyotes."

"I had so loved his love of the place. Throwing Muses' drummer, Dave [Narcizo] -- my best friend since third grade -- decided that Wyatt needed to encapsulate his sense memories of the coyote palace, make the experience finite, like bottling a memory," she continues, adding that though Wyatt used to visit the apartment and film the coyotes while Hersh recorded the album, his "intense fascination" suddenly disappeared.

She's also announced a string of UK/IE dates for November, including a show at London's St John in Bethnal Green; check all the upcoming shows below.
